Abductors of Nigeria's President Uncle Reject N30m Ransom

The abductors of Inengite Nitabai, the uncle of President Goodluck Jonathan, have turned down the N30 million ransom offered for his release, Premium Times reports.

The uncle, a former lecturer at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology in Port Harcourt, was kidnapped 13 days ago at his Otuoke country home in Bayelsa State by armed men.

The abductors had demanded for a N500 million ransom when they contacted the family a few days after the kidnapping.

President Jonathan arrived at his home town, Otuoke, on Thursday, possibly to facilitate the release of his uncle.
