Kogi Hails Appeal Court Judgement On LG Councils

Kogi State Government has applauded the judgement of the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja which reinstated the chairmen and councillors of the 21 Local Government Areas in the state.

In a statement issued in Lokoja, Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi, described the judgement as an affirmation that the judiciary is truly the last hope of the common man and commended the reinstated chairmen and councillors for remaining law abiding while the court case lasted.

London was brought to a standstill last night, Saturday October 17, 2015, as the festival premiere of the enthralling motion picture, Fifty, and the cast of A-list Nollywood stars quietened the usually raucous streets of London’s Leicester Square. 

This event marked the first African-style film premiere in London and witnessed the largest ever assembly of spectators during its screening at the London Film Festival.

 The stars of the night were Omoni Oboli, Ireti Doyle, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Nse Ikpe-Etim and Wale Ojo. The celebrities were joined by the acclaimed creative director, Biyi Bandele and the award winning executive producer Mo Abudu.

US Business Group To Invest Over 100 Billion In Kogi State

Kogi State is to receive investment worth over 100 Billion Naira from a US-based investment group, Annointed Holdings.

Kogi State Commissioner for Information, Hajiya Zainab Suleiman Okino disclosed this after a meeting between the delegation of Annointed Holding Group and the Kogi state government at the government house in Lokoja.

Grace Adenekan Debuts With ‘Bigger Than The Biggest’ Gospel Album

Grace Adenekan, popularly called Akorin, will be launching her debut gospel album and video tagged “Bigger than the Biggest” on the 1st of November, 2015 at the Centre for Management Development Hall, Magodo, Lagos.

In a statement, it was unveiled that Grace Adenekan has been a gospel artiste for many years; she started out as a youngster in the church choir and has since then followed her passion by proclaiming the gospel through music.

The album has 8 tracks has been done in partnership with her husband, Kehinde Adenekan, who composed and co-arranged the music with Segun Joshua. Akin Jazzy, featured in the track that the album is named after ‘Bigger than the Biggest’, the album is produced by Saxy; EMX mixed the track, ‘Sope’ and directed the video.

Currently, one of the songs titled ‘Most High’ has been trending on Youtube in recent times. Some of the A-list gospel artistes billed for the launch includes Kenny Kore, Mike Abdul, Pelumi Strings, Nixon Sax and Ann.
