This story may sound a bit unbelievable to you, but it’s true. A man in India has been promoting world peace for 25 years by walking everywhere backwards.
Well, Mani Manithan has been walking in reverse around the town of Tirupattur, in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu for more than a quarter of a century. He really does walk backwards everywhere, at home, on the streets and even while climbing stairs or using public transport.
He started his strange style of walking in 19-89, after a string of violent incidents in his home country shocked him. He says that it doesn’t affect his normal routine in any way. And in fact he has completely forgotten how to walk forwards. Mani says he'll continue to walk this way until world peace is achieved. I wonder how long that would take!s
