The Official travel partners to the Nigeria
Football Federation, NFF, Wakanow.com reportedly left more than 600 Nigerians stranded in
Sao Paulo last Wednesday. Hence, preventing fans from watching the Super
Eagles' clash against Argentina in Porto Alegre at the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
According to reports, Wakanow had promised to move fans
from Sao Paulo to Porto Alegre on Wednesday morning, to meet up with the game
but failed to keep that promise.
One of the fan who spoke with reporters, said "Most of us left Nigeria
believing that we were going to Porto Alegre. We were surprised to be brought
to Sao Paulo. And they are (the fans) are alleging that this has all the tell tale signs of
scam."
To make matters even worse, the travel agency allegedly
purchased tickets for 50 people ONLY whom they felt would make trouble with the traveling agency, leaving more than 500 fans stranded. It was gathered that the rest of them spent sleepless night at the airport waiting for a
flight which never came.
