Gas Explosion Leaves 78 Persons Dead In Ghana


A gas explosion has left no fewer than 78 persons dead in Ghana. The explosion which occurred on Wednesday killed about 78 persons at a gas station in Accra, the capital city of Ghana.

Report revealed that most of the deceased were those who sought refuge at the gas station following a heavy downpour that had submerged the town.

The incident which happened at about 10pm was caused by fire that gutted a nearby lorry terminal which later spread to the gas station and other buildings in the country’s capital.


It was gathered that the capital city was on Wednesday submerged in flood following several hours of heavy rainfall.
